daily inspiration: shift happens (3 of 3) – opening to change

Sometimes we Do Not want things to Change. Yet, there they are. Yes, we know there’s a standard negative reaction to unwelcome events (say, a tsunami, a death, a relationship breakup, or losing your job). But some can also have a hard time with positive news, too – any change can feel threatening. Either way, try this:

  1. Close your eyes and take some deep breaths.
  2. Ask yourself, “What gift or lesson could this bring in disguise?”
  3. Feel – or at least imagine that you can feel – the energy of the change. Sense what it brings to the planet, and to your life.
  4. Ask for its hidden message of transformation to be revealed to you.
  5. Invite this shift into your heart, and welcome it – and thank it – for bringing what you didn’t know you needed.
